Volunteer

You Can Make A Difference.

The work is very rewarding and we look forward to meeting those who want to give back to the Community through our Center.

We are looking for help in a variety of ways, including greeters at the Center, those who can help clients fill out paperwork, people to help with fundraisers, public awareness programs, housekeeping, and even general clerical support.

Things to know about volunteering for WCCAC:

bulletShifts are from 8:30 am -12:30 pm and 12:30 - 4:30 pm; plus an evening shift on Thursdays from 4:30 - 7:30 pm.

bulletVolunteers are required to fill out a Volunteer Application form.

bulletDue to the confidentiality of services provided at the Children's Advocacy Center, volunteers are carefully screened through the application process, followed by a personal interview, and then background checks.

bulletUpon acceptance, volunteers go through a four-hour training course to learn how to interact with families in crisis.

A round of applause for the volunteers of the Child Advocacy Center

For more than 7 years the center has utilized the community to provide a variety of needed services for the children and staff. “They are vital to our work” says Center Director, Brenda Staples. “They give us the ability to stay focused on the children as they assist with all the behind the scenes work.”
