About Us

It provides needed assistance to abused children, non-offending family members, and the professionals dedicated to the intervention, investigation, prosecution, and treatment options related to child abuse cases.

Our services include:
bulletForensic Interviews

"Children are especially vulnerable and deserve special protection."

- John Bradley
Williamson County District Attorney

We have a dedicated Board of Directors that oversees the budget and policies of the Center. John Bradley serves as President of the Board of Directors.

We are dedicated to providing a safe place to report abuse.Since its beginning, the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center has assisted over 3,700 child victims and an estimated 13,500 secondary victims. The Center averages more than 50 children each month receiving first time Core CAC Services.

Children and teens coming to the Center may be victims of abuse and/or neglect, or may have witnessed a serious crime. See our Parents page for answers to frequently asked questions and to find out who to call.

It is our goal to minimize trauma and reduce re-victimization to child victims of abuse. This goal is accomplished by providing a multidisciplinary response to allegations of child abuse in a professional and child-sensitive manner and by videotaping interviews to reduce the number of times a child victim has to retell his or her abuse to multiple persons.

Our multidisciplinary response includes these vital resources:
bullet

law enforcement

bullet

child protective services

bullet

victim service providers

bullet

prosecutors

bullet

medical personnel

bullet

mental health professionals, and

bullet

victim advocates.

This effective method provides an important sense of safety and consistency to the children and families involved.

The Center offers all services free of charge thanks to grant assistance, individual & business financial donations, community support, and gifts-in-kind. Click here to learn how you can help.
