WCCAC hosted Keeping Kids Safe Fun Day

The WCCAC hostsed a free “Keeping Kids Safe” public safety day on Saturday, April 8, from noon – 2:00pm. This event was offered in honor of National Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness month and the WCCAC’s 20th anniversary of service to children and families of our community.
Several first responder agencies showcased their public safety equipment and static displays for the community to view. Round Rock Police, Williamson County Sheriff’s Department, Georgetown Fire, and Williamson County EMS personnel had attractions such as a SWAT vehicle, BEAR armored vehicle, K9 agility unit, fire truck, ambulance, motorcycle patrol, and police cars for kids to view and experience.
Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) provided kid fingerprinting and ID services. Games, face painting, Miniwonders horses, a ROCK (Ride On Center for Kids) horse to hand paint, and more attractions were available for all to enjoy.
