The Williamson County Child Protection Team (CPT)
Based on research and experience, a coordinated multidisciplinary response by professionally trained personnel in a child-friendly setting is the most effective way to reduce further trauma to victims of child abuse and promote emotional healing. Representatives from the WCCAC, all law enforcement agencies in Williamson County, Child Protective Services, Hope Alliance, the District Attorney’s Office, and the County Attorney’s Office are members of the Williamson County CPT.
The strength of the WCCAC model is in its ability to bring numerous governmental agencies together for the best interest of the child. The CPT is a collaboration of professionals dedicated to the intervention, investigation, prosecution, and treatment options related to child abuse cases.
