WCCAC receives proceeds from 11th Annual Red Poppy Ride

On April 25, 2015 at 8:00 am, the 11th Annual Red Poppy Ride got underway, beginning at Richarte High School Annex in Georgetown.

Novices, experts, children, and families all participated in the Ride.

Cyclists from around the state and the nation came to enjoy our beautiful country roads through picturesque Williamson County.  Bicycle routes of 14, 27, 40, 50, 63 (100K+) and 101 miles were available.

And this year, the Georgetown Running Club hosted a 5K run, starting at 9:00 am.

The Red Poppy Ride, during Georgetown’s Red Poppy Festival, benefits the SERTOMA scholarship program, the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center, and area bike programs.

Thank you to all who participated!
